Planning and filming the music video

Alex and I started planning for our music video weeks in advance, this is our neat copy of our story board. We used our story board to make sure we didn't forget any shots or locations on the day of filming at DCAS . I found this very useful because all our ideas were down clearly along with the angle of the shots, how the shot would be edited and what the mis-en-scence will be for that particular shot.
Also when discussing the filming of our music video I made notes of the conversations that Alex and I were having this helped up keep all our ideas collected together, such as day when we were free to film, who was included and when they were available. These notes were helpful since they gave Alex and I a fixed plan to work on.

Filming at DCAS

The picture above shows Alex and I's  plan for filming at the studio that we booked out on Wednesday. This helped us by organising the time we had in the studio to its fullest potential.
I felt Alex and I used our time in the studio efficiently  since we have got plenty of footage that should mostly all be useable.
We did have some problems in the morning as we was filming this is because due to the snow fall the night before. The snow caused one of our people that was supposed to be in the video not being able to get to the location. This caused a few issues with the filming timetable we set up, however it didn't take long to solve the problems.

Ideas about our music videos.

                  
Since Alex and I wanted to change the song for our music video we have created this video using Alexs MacBook air to bring all our ideas together. This video cover all the equipment we are thinking off using plus the feel of the music video. I feel as though this will be helpful to look back on after Alex and I have completed our music video so we can compare our first original ideas to the outcome.

What to except to see with each musical genre.

 This powerpoint was created by Alex who is in my group for making the music videos, we did this video to show the main stereotypes which apper in particular types of music videos. This will give us a clearer idea of what we what to aim for in our music video according to the genre we have chosen.
